It’s meeting each other cause you’re talking really loudly about Doctor Who and wondering which “face” their favorite. Being prepared to hate them if they say Tennant, but they don’t. It’s forgetting to actually fuck because you actually enjoy talking to them. Then remembering weeks later and having them rock your world. It’s being better than everyone you know because you waited.

It’s getting excited on Tuesdays and Wednesdays because that’s when all the new stuff comes out so you can bring it home and pick it all apart. It’s long debates about what exactly makes a classic a classic and when the word is used unjustly. It’s the difference between nerd rock and jock rock.

It’s wanting to wear their shirt and buy their cologne for when you feel absolutely alone. It’s knowing you can be yourself around them and actually feeling great and uplifted about it. It’s scrawling their name on your body somewhere in sharpie because you feel naked without it. Just wanting some small part of them that no one else has ever had.

It’s waiting all day to be able to see their screen name pop up. It’s you giving them a nickname and having them use that nickname more than they use their own. It’s you tweaking you nickname to compliment theirs. It’s running into a chartroom because you see them there. Then being sad when they just left.

It’s knowing about their passions and pursuits because you used to do them. Or if you didn’t learning so you can better understand them. It’s encouraging them to do what they want because you love her happy squeal. It’s building a pillow fort or pretending to be making out in a space ship.

It’s looking at a sign and reading it the wrong way the same way, even if nobody else gets it. It’s finding street signs on the side of the road and taking them home because it seems like the right thing to do. It’s keeping everything because you never know when you’ll need it.

It’s loving the way she’s an old school punk even though she’s far too young to have been born then and knowing that makes her even more your geek. It’s her telling you how she was beat up once because of her zine and how that made her resolved in doing them. Loving her more BECAUSE she’s like that.

It’s finding the little things that nobody loves but her, even if she only loves them because you do. It’s the little prize at the bottom of the box of Cracker Jacks back when they gave good prizes and not those little crappy ones. It’s cheap plastic toys with way more detail or not enough as there should be.

It’s loving her because she’s such a geek and kinky too. Fucking her while you’re both thinking about fucking Billie Piper. It’s knowing she’s doing it and finding that hotter.

It’s sending them email everyday and not having them get angry with you and sometimes responding back. So you have something to read in the morning. It’s writing offertory blog posts and wanting to bake them cupcakes.
Its watching Kevin Smith movies and MISSING THEM.
